un-uninspired (AKA re-inspired!!!)

Thank you bliss. Thank you book. I have become inspired ONCE MORE!! *does wild joy dance.*

I read this book about jean crafts, and one of them was to write on your jeans with sharpies, which I did, because I’m just cool like that ;) and I wrote my favorite poem, (I am checking the leg for the name and author :D ) The Indian Burying Ground by Philip Freneau on them, as well as a few lines from Michael Jackson’s (RIP, the king!) Thriller, Rockin’ Robin, and Beat It, as well as a few lines from I Will Follow You Into the Dark by Death Cab for Cutie (one of my faves!) and some lines from Crushcrushcrush by Paramore (another fave!) on them, and also some things like LOL, LMAO, OMG, TTFN, and (this was a joke!) GAL, some peace signs, some random quotes, and some rainbows, and they look so hippy-chic!!!! :D I love them! I’m wearing them with a brown shirt with a huge yellow winking smiley face on it. So I’m sitting in my room with my beat up, scribbled on jeans, and I decide to put my hair up. Instead of reaching for my hair thing storage ring, I yanked the rubber band off of my wrist and put my hair up. It’s messy. I love the look!!! Love it!!! I call it the go with the flow of fashion look.

And Blissbait upped my inspiration by like, 1,000,o00 points, when she told me about her pajama combo, and I came up with…. (drumroll….)

Uninspired

Posted in Uncategorized by Tacy on November 11, 2009

I would post about fashion but I am uninspired. I’ve been at school and I am uninspired. I haven’t been out much, but usually I am inspired by something. A leaf, a commercial, a phone call… but a still, nuthin’.

I guess I am waiting for my holiday freak-out to begin. Between school, breaks, visiting family, (and them visiting me!) shopping for gifts, and keeping in touch, I always freak. Sigh.

Have you seen anything that might spark my fashionation? (fashion imagination.) A cool shirt? Been shopping lately? ANYTHING??? sigh. I’m depressed. :(

Feeding the Homeless

Posted in Random Blogging by Tacy on November 7, 2009

Today, I fed the homeless. I brought crackers out to this place, and handed out roses. It was amazing and also heartbreaking. When a man walked by holding a baby in his coat, I cried. Later, I was talking to a homeless man, who told me that they say in the winter every homeless person is promised a bed at our local homeless shelter, but he told me they fill up fast, and sometimes he has to sleep in the cold. The man who runs the donation told me that blankets and sleeping bags save lives. That’s when I got the idea!!!

Next month, along with the food, I am going to hand out blankets and sleeping bags. I need to collect 100, but so far I only have ten. I really, really want to do this. I really, really want that man with the baby, or the man I talked to, Ron, or anyone else who is homeless to have a warm blanket in case they have to sleep outside. It breaks my heart to know that these people have to wonder if they are going t live through the night. I hope the food and blankets help them live, and the roses cheer them up. Sometimes the organization hands out hot coffee too.

If you have an organization like this in your area, I strongly suggest donating if you can. You cannot compare anything to the feeling you get when you give someone in need an apple, or a cup of hot coffee on a cold day, or a bag of chips for later. You might think it would be awkward, but it really and truly isn’t. Those people are some of the friendliest I have ever met. Even if they don’t talk to you, you get that warm feeling inside when you see them drinking their coffee, or giving their kids a banana, or holding their new, soft blanket.

Have a great day,

Tacy.
